  Why are Witnesses so into SELF Glorification instead of God....example of my ex-bible study!

  modern day pharasee's they like people to see how much they have sacrificed for "the kingdom".....all the pioneers on stage boasting of "the blessings of jehovah makes one rich.

  " {yes i'm poor but sprirtually rich and doing the right thing unlike all of you} take the brother i studied with 12 years ago for example.

  he's now a servant and always mentions how thankful he is i was soooo patient with him, and sooooo loving......he always does this in front of others and in an almost fake "bad actor" way.

  Witness N.W.T bible Footnotes confirm "the tree of Knowledge" gave Magic Powers to Eve???

  the watchtower lies to us teaching offically that the tree of knowledge was just a symbol.....however i was shocked to read in the watchtowers study bible this footnote for gen 3:16.. "the tree was...something to be longed for with the eyes to impart knowledge {intelligence, prudence}" .

  the hebrew text supports the view that the tree had magical knowledge powers.

  this blows apart the offical witness teaching and puts some mystic views into the eden story!!

  i have, on occasion, pissed off many or most of the christians on this board.

  i have forthrightly ridiculed you at times, but more often, i have lathered satire, or frothed sarcasm at what appeared to me to be inanely ludicrous viewpoint.. i must apologize, for i have seen the light.. i now understand that all of mankind's' plight can indeed be traced to a day in a perfect garden in iraq.

  Thousands of people have come and gone from this site....is this part of the healing process???

  i see alot of new names here lately and if you look at the log on names here there are thousands who have moved on....every 2 years the posters change.....some vent and leave, others stay on for years.

  i guess moving on with your life is a good thing, i think this site helps...any thoughts?.

  Why does the Elder I work with have a Gambling internet account on our work Computer???

  yes an elder who i work with and takes the theocratic school every week has an internet gambling account????

  i was snooping thru his personal computer file and found it {i'm bad}....afew weeks later after he told me he was an elder it dissapeared.

  he started working with us without ever saying he was a witness...this went on for months before a sister from another department said "hey _____ is an elder did ya know?

  Yes an Elder who I work with and takes the Theocratic school every week has an internet gambling account???? I was snooping thru his personal computer file and found it {I'm bad}....afew weeks later after he told me he was an Elder it dissapeared. He started working with us without ever saying he was a Witness...this went on for months before a sister from another department said "Hey _____ is an Elder did ya know?" The next week he came clean, and the account was deleted.

  I guess he like to place a bet each way....Jehovah and horses!!!! I'm pissed off that 2 Elders have worked in my department in the last 5 years! Though obviously some are not so loyal.

  Faithful slave has been around since the 1st Century?? So why DIDN'T Charles Russell join them?

  the watchtower claims there has been a "faithful slave" since jesus time till now so.....why did russell go independent and start his own group of bible students?

  why did he claim the title for himself alone?.

  According to the Watchtower Russell's small group would "read a bible text...discuss it...then come to a conclusion and make notes...." Very different today though when Elders encourage us to "stick to the Watchtower paragraphs."

  witnesses make little progress in "pagan" muslim/hindu countries.....but christians are fair game thanks to former christendoms missionaries paving the way with bibles.....see, even harlots can be useful to "establishing the goodnews.

  My mum thinks "this Generation" teaching has gone back as it was {1914} In 2010?? Much confused old Witnesses!

  some i have spoken to just still think the 1914 folks are the generation!!!

  the watchtower article is confusing.

  i asked my mum and she firmly believes that "babies born in 1914 would still be alive today......look at brother franz, how loooong he lived!....".

  I gave up in the end. Also why do they use Franz who lived to 96 as an example when this is not a normal lifespan for a man. {70-80 says the bible}

  Why are Bethelites so discusted by their own "real" family members?? {Like Fred Franz e.g}

  some friends of mine at bethel had slightly disfunctional families at home....nothing huge, just dad was a bit loud....sister had depression at times mum was abit emotional etc etc {all of them faithful witnesses though} ....i was amazed that even at assemblies when they came from interstate the bethelite friends would "shy away" from their real family.

  they would always be too busy, or have something to do....one family drove home in tears because their bethel son did not seem to "have time for them...".

  e.g fredrick franz 1939 when he was told by his mom his father died franz told her due to press work at bethel he can't make it!!!

  E.G Fredrick Franz 1939 when he was told by his mom his father died Franz told her due to press work at Bethel he can't make it!!!!....his mother complained to Rutherford who ordered him to attend.........I just think to myself what an ass!!! But I've seen this with many Bethel boys who seem embarrased to have a Real and normal family at home.....instead of the Bethel "ROBOT FAMILY" they now have.
